Biography
Ivana Mišić (Jeanne de Flute) graduated in 2017 with excellent marks in the class of prof. Renata Penezić.
During her musical education she perfected her skills by working with renowned musicians and educators in Croatia and abroad: Renata Penezić, Wally Hase, Emmanuel Pahud, Andrea Oliva, András Adorján, Anna Garzuly, Hansgeorg Schmeiser, Michael Martin Kofler, Martin Belič, Marko Zupan, Matej Zupan, Carlo Jans, Renata Greiss, Jean-Claude Gerard and many others.
She is a winner of the Rector’s Award of the University of Zagreb and she was awarded several first prizes at national competitions of the Croatian Society of Music and Dance Educators (HDGPP). She was also awarded the third prize at the Papandopulo Croatian Competition of Young Musicians. While attending university, she completed a two-year jazz module where she was involved with classes of rhythm, ensemble, arranging and improvisation in jazz.
She has performed as a soloist accompanied by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, as a member of a Jazz ensemble and as soloist of the Jazz orchestra of the Academy of Music, directed by prof. Saša Nestorović. She had an outstanding solo performance at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall within the project the Harmony of Dissonance, and with pianists Zrinka Ivančić Cikojević and Mladen Grgić she has held recitals in Croatia.
She was working in a music school as flute teacher after completing her concert and education musical studies from December 2017 to December 2018
She served Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra from December 2018 to December 2019 as solo flute, leader of wind section where she worked with many renowned domestic and international conductors such as mo. Marc Tardue, mo. Nicholas Milton and many others. She has co-operated with the Opera Orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Rijeka Symphony Orchestra in Croatia and abroad.
